This poster, to be hung in a dental office, depicts the anatomy of teeth. An illustration showing the occlusal surface of the maxillary and mandibular teeth serves to explain the numbering system used for teeth. The cross section reveals the "layers" found inside a tooth and how the roots sit in the bone of the jaw. All illustrations were created in illustrator using basic layering of shapes, blend shapes, and gradient mesh, and the overall layout was created in InDesign. Read Less

This waiting room style poster for a dental office was created in Adobe Illustrator and Indesign. The objective was to create a visually pleasing, but also educational poster to help the general public better understand the anatomy of the teeth. An illustration showing the occlusal surface of the maxillary and mandibular teeth serves to explain the numbering system used for teeth. The cross section reveals the "layers" found inside a tooth and how the roots sit in the bone of the jaw. This piece was also selected for the 2016 College of Imaging Arts & Science Honors Show.
