The Long Hot Summer - Clare 2013

In the build-up to Clare's All-Ireland Hurling Final against Cork in 2013, I noticed that the marketing for the match was quite poor. As such, I wanted to create a film-trailer style video in order to create hype for the match. Inspired by the trailer for '300: Rise Of An Empire', this is a result.
Following the incredible reception that the video received (nearly 10,000 views in the space of a week, as well as being shared on prominent sports and news sites in Ireland), I also wanted to create a video which captured the atmosphere of the town of Ennis in the run up to the game. This was shot on my Nikon D3100, and edited together in the space of a couple of days.
With the final ending in a draw, it only made sense that i would follow up with another trailer. This one sought to draw paralells with the spirit of Clare's most famous All-Ireland victory in 1995 and the current final.
Clare defeated Cork in the replay to claim the All-Ireland title. I had been working on the video below since the drawn game, as I wanted to create a video that summed up the whole season and the mood and atmosphere that the victory created around Clare.
The exposure that these videos received was incredible, with a combined total of nearly 140,000 views on YouTube, as well as being shared on sites such as Joe.ie, balls.ie, Spin South West and the Clare People.
