When you're trying to communicate things like psychological, occupational, and environmental health it's a bit of a challenge. Unlike logos, icons don't have the benefit of imbued brand characteristics. When you create a logo for a company you embed it with brand traits and say this symbol stands for this, that, and the other. Icons however, just has to communicate nonverbally.
