Instructional Video – Momma’s Cornbread

This is an instructional video created to show learners how cornbread.  It was created using multiple video production skills.  The goal was to break down the process into steps so learners could easily follow the steps and successfully make their own cornbread.  I kept the content simple and easy to understand since the target audience is open.

FIGURE 2.1
The instructional video shows the process of baking Momma's cornbread in a real scenario.  The intent was to make a video that was easy for the learners to follow and understand. I incorporated text for the ingredients to make it easier for the learner to follow.

FIGURE 2.2
There were several video production skills utilized to create the final cut video.  I had to set up the lighting, cameras, and equipment.  Since I had a small dark area to work in, I had to  use multiple angles and takes.
FIGURE 2.3
I used my storyboard as a visual guide to set up all of the materials needed.  This included all of the ingredients and materials needed.  I displayed still shots with all of the ingredients so the learners could visually relate to the instructions.
FIGURE 2.4
Before I started filming I created a storyboard to layout the plan for the shoot.  From there I used story writing skills to create a script for the narration.  When creating the script I made sure to take into consideration the storyboard I created.
