My hand sketch that started it all. My original plan was to make this design for the 37th Popcorn Festival, but life (and a Senior T-Shirt Fundraiser) took up most of my time that year.
My parents encouraged me to try to make a poster for this year, so I dug out the hand drawn sketch (Picture 1) and started brainstorming.
Then, I began working on my digital rough draft using my IPad.
Below are some ideas that looked good at the time. However, the font became difficult to work with once I started working on my laptop.
The red and white stripes in the final rough draft would later become the inspiration for the Popcorn Box in the final design.
Once I started on the computer, it took a few week to make the finished design comply with the contest's rules and to create the vision I had in my head.
