Palma Kolansky began her career in 1974 and became one of the first high profile female photographers in the fashion industry. Over the next three decades her images have been featured in magazines, advertising campaigns, and museums around the world. Palma has been a guest lecturer at the Rhode Island School of Design and Princeton University. She also taught the first fashion photography class at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. In 1994 Palma created one of the internet's first website based portfolios giving clients the ability to view her work electronically. In 2010 Palma released one of the first app-based photographer's portfolios available on the iTunes App Store.
