Wired Italia — Altas of innovation

“(R)Evolution”, Wired Italia issue number 76, is the altas of innovation.
Design of 6 maps and 6 illustrations about the opener article of every chapter in the magazine.

The map's elements like mountains, cities, shores and greenery are replaced by microchips, circuits and abstract symbols which are related to tech and informatic field. As a result the maps are simple and direct, strengthened by the use of an essential color palette made by grey, black and white. Also the illustrations follow this concept with a use of symbols and abstract shapes.

CHAPTER I — Italy
Place of innovation: Marina di Pisa, Italy. Transforming the force of the sea waves into electricity.



CHAPTER II — Europe
Place of innovation: Paris, France. Facebook gathers and categorizes big amount of data with the aim of predicting the user's needs.


CHAPTER III — America
Place of innovation: Key Largo, Florida. A laboratory anchored underwater used for training astronauts.


CHAPTER IV — Africa
Place of innovation: Port Louis, Mauritius. The first woman president of the Mauritus is also a biodiversity scientist that is changing the nature of his country.


CHAPTER V — Asia
Place of innovation: Guangzhou, China. The rising of the new chinese enterprises.


CHAPTER VI — Oceania
Place of innovation: Wollongong, Australia. "Geldom", a new condom made of water.
