'WHERE IT’S AT' is a new Design Indaba publication guest edited and curated by Richard Hart - Durban designer, artist and co-founder of Disturbance design studio. It features articles, profiles, conversations and bespoke, fold-out posters, in a snapshot of contemporary South African design, and how it plays out in a global context. It's the first in a series of limited editions inspired by Design Indaba magazine.
This is the illustration that I entered into the competition, to be featured in the Design Indaba 2012 mag. However it didn't get chosen.
This piece is a commentary on how Africa follows the trends that the western world bombards it with.
