Krysten Lawrence

"Caricom is a good thing" says 19 year old Krysten Lawrence and the proof lives within her stunning, petite frame, born in Barbados to a Trinidadian father and a Barbadian mother, the teenager says she loves the travel that comes with having family strewn throughout the Caribbean islands. "My Mom has a gold buying and metal scrapping business located in Guyana and I love working with her and traveling back and forth for that job" and when she isn't working with her mother, Krysten spends her time creating fashionable clothing for herself. The teenager has been making her own clothes since she was in high school and credits her tutors at The Lodge School for fueling her interest in fashion and for teaching her the skills that make it easy to create her own stylish and unique look. "I want to get my degree in both fashion merchandising and fashion design because I don't only know about fashion, I want to start my own business" With that in mind Krysten will be attending the Barbados Community College in September where she will get her associate degree and after that she plans to further the studies overseas where she can indulge in her love of travel and fashion while getting the qualification that will make her a force in the Caribbean fashion world.
