Warsaw Uprising - 01.08.1944
The Warsaw Uprising  was a major World War II operation by the Polish resistance Home Army to liberate Warsaw from Nazi Germany. The Uprising was timed to coincide with the Soviet Union's Red Army approaching the eastern suburbs of the city and the retreat of German forces. However, the Soviet advance stopped short, enabling the Germans to regroup and demolish the city while defeating the Polish resistance, which fought for 63 days with little outside support. The Uprising was the largest single military effort taken by any European resistance movement during World War II.

Communism in Poland
The Polish People's Republic was the official name of Poland between 1952 and 1989. The name was given by the Constitution of 1952 which was based on the1936 Soviet Constitution. Between 1947 and 1952, the name of the Polish state had been simply the Republic of Poland in accordance with the temporary Constitution of 1947. At the time of its founding during final stages of World War II, the new Soviet-controlled Poland was regarded as a puppet entity set up from outside the State concerned and over time, it developed into a satellite state of the Soviet Union

Solid?
On 18 February 2016 the INR in Warsaw announced it had seized a package of original documents that allegedly proved Wałęsa "was a paid Communist informant". The documents dated from the period 1970-1976; they were seized from the home of a recently deceased former interior minister, General Czesław Kiszczak. The documents' authenticity was confirmed by an archival expert, but the handwriting examination demanded by the prosecutors could take up to six months.
