D8 | Dwelling Project

This dwelling project, located in Paso Cordoba, Argentina mimics the thermoregulating skin of a pink ferry armadillo. Armadillos bury themselves underground and create tunnels to navigate toother places. Their skin has a thermoregulatin cover that catches the heat and cools the body down. Likewise, this dwelling is partially underground creating a ramp and tunnel like system for circulation. The cladding in the front moves to collect the wind and cool the interior spaces. The roof also contains the same cladding to cool the upper loft area. The dwelling can be used for a lab to monitor the pink fairy armadillos as well as a small family home for those who love to move around.
