STUDENT PROJECT (UX/UI, Web design, Identity & Packaging)

Child Aid is a fictitious charity fighting child labour and promoting education. The main aim of the website is to raise funds for the charity, secondly to raise awareness on the charity mission and programmes. Information is provided in small clear packages, engaging the user with visually strong imagery and an assertive but reassuring colour palette. A hierarchy of information has been designed where key messages and calls to actions are delivered in clear and uncluttered layouts, while detailed information is accessible through “Learn more” prompts.
Child Aid’s key visual portrays the problem of child labour on a blackboard, in black and white, while the solution (i.e. education) is represented by a brightly dressed kid. The opposition of colours emphasizes the struggle. In the CD case, the rawness of the conditions of the child labourers is also emphasized by the use of recycled paper. Hand writing-style typefaces were used throughout, to reinforce the concept of schooling.
