Spice Swatch Book
This book is a typography project inspired by the user friendly qualities of a paint or pantone swatch book. The letters forms were hand crafted using each individual spice and Helvetica Bold Condensed letterform stencils. These letterforms were then photographed and assembled in Illustrator. The back of each card lists possible uses for each spice, countries where it is most commonly used, and popular dishes each spice is used in. It is fully functionable in a a kitchen setting and can be used during the cooking process. It's small size was designed for easy usability and storage.
