Prep for my new piece, a recreation of Edward Hopper's "Automat".
Draft 1 of my painting. I wanted to work on the background first as it lays the "groundwork" of the painting and brings everything together.
Draft 2 of Automat. I added more depth to the painting this time and put in the furniture. The table looks huge but I think once the woman is added in, the painting will flow.
Draft 3 of Automat, slowing adding in the woman and adding various details to other parts of the painting. Next I will focus on the windows and flooring for the right coloring.
Draft 4 of Automat. I started adding more depth to the background as well as the woman in the picture.
