Flight City in Jandakot was bought by new owners and re-launched in new premises in November 2015. They provide flight simulator experiences and training in a Boeing 777 Fixed Base Procedural Trainer. Their simulator is the only one of its kind in Perth.
The Flight City owners contracted Tangelo to create a new logo and brand identity. The brief included making sure the identity would work well on signage at Flight City’s premises and on the simulator as well as their printed and online materials. The look needed to be premium, professional and invoke a sense of adventure and excitement.
The logo we created features a Boeing 777 airliner. The cityscape could be anywhere in the world, as the simulator lets you fly to almost any international destination. The text sits in a badge like shape to emulate a pilot’s badge. Overall the logo is quite iconic with a premium feel. A gold ribbon pattern representing flight paths is used a as secondary graphic to support the brand mark.
Key applications of the branding are on Flight City’s e-commerce website and to the interior of their premises, creating a sense of excitement from the minute you step inside.
