Apple iPhone Vision Next is my personal project how I see the future of smartphones.
I'm not happy with the current trend of phablets, the production of larger screens and several color variations.
Apple is slowly loosing its charm and exceptionality. It's strategy is uncertain and the problem is that the Apple company tries to attack all layers of potential customers.
In this project I tried to return back Apple's old charm. Let's be honest, any product that wears the Apple logo will be successful, Apple has a strong history and relies on it. However the company is losing confidence, excellence and exceptionality.
I created the concept that focuses on the production of only one perfect type of iPhone. One size. One color. Because the iPhone should stay the iPhone, rather than a fashion accessory.
So, my idea was that iPhone would develop for four years a new technology that would be in a next iPhone contained. After every four years would Apple introduce an absolutely exceptional iPhone more special than the previous model. And this strategy would be applied to all Apple products.
There would be always only one unique product, which would be one step ahead than the competition. One iPhone, one iPad, one MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, one iMac, etc ..
Release a new iPhone in an old design I evaluate as totally unacceptable. And that is the problem.
Marketing strategies and the evolution of design is one of the most important things what you have to keep in your mind, no matter what.
Apple should remain unique. Apple is a miracle that was build long decades.
