Die Harper’s Bazaar ist Amerikas erste Modezeitschrift gewesen ist und kann somit auf eine 145-jährige Geschichte zurückblicken. Nicht zuletzt hat auch Alexey Brodovitch, jahrelang als Art Director an diesem Printmedium mitgewirkt.
Diese Aspekte machen die Harper’s Bazaar einzigartig und zum Analyseobjekt dieser Arbeit. Genauer betrachtet werden
hierbei die Geschichte, der Inhalt, die Publikation und die Gestaltung des Magazins. Abschließend wird die Bazaar
mit ihrem größten Konkurrenten, der Vogue, in punkto Gestaltung und Inhalt verglichen.
This analysis of the american magazine "Harper's Bazaar" deals not only with its content but focuses also its history,
structure and composition. Since the Bazaar is one of America's oldest magazines, it not only has a wide span of history
but also many collaborations with significant Art Directors, Photographers and Illustrators.
