These Dayz

Final Work

Our group had 3 ideas in total. Each person was told to think of their idea and discuss with the group.

So firstly, we had idea about how people feel upset and do inhumane actions in order to get likes on social network system.

Through comically parodying it, we wanted to criticize our current society.

Our second idea is about itt starts to rain so the man takes out his umbrella. But suddenly the rain causes a flood. He swims through the water until the flood drains and the man is left soaked.

And our third idea is about Person a and b meet in Gastown. Person b spilled coffee on person a and person a got mad. Person b bus person a coffee to make up for spilling their drink on them. They talk at the coffee shop and become friends.

Our group has chose the idea of using social network system. This could bring out mant conflict and problems in society that we can easily experience ourselves and through others.

The chosen idea is about the two couples went out the night before. They had a double date. Then the boy A named John hits on girl B named Belce. Both of their partners find out at the end and John lost his friendship and his relationship.

Before our group went out to start filming, we created a rough sketches about the setting and how we want to film it.

And also our project's story moves forward through the video only depending on the text messages. So our group had decided to write a script. Our footages and the edited video were also depended on the script.

Reflections:

The most difficult part of this project was the time management and scheduling for our group. Because all of the members work, it was impossible to meet up. So we decided to work separately and discuss through online message.

The fun part of this project was filming the footage and editing the video.

We learned that we have think about the lighting of the setting and the quality of the footages. Also it would have been better if a person who captured the footages had someone who helps.

We could improve on time scheduling and a very specific storyline that tells the actions and the angles of the camera.
