I started my architectural education at San Diego Mesa College where I learned the fundamental, traditional skills of hand drafting and sketching. After 2 years, I transferred to a 5 year architecture program at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, Ca. Ranked fourth place amongst private and public architecture schools nationwide, (DesignIntelligence 2012) Cal Poly has endowed in me excellent skills to launch my architectural career. Throughout my education, I have developed a deep interest in environmentally responsible architecture and opted to add a minor in Sustainable Environments. Through professional studio programs, Cal Poly gave me the opportunity to experience real life practice and immerse myself in the life of an office. For two quarters, I managed a design studio and an internship at two different firms, gaining invaluable learning experiences of group collaboration and individual responsibilities.
