THE BROWNIES CD
Old Things New Things
CD packaging for the Reggae/Ska band The Brownies. Conceptual designs revolving around title of CD, Old Things New Things. The main concept was how timeless music is and how timeless The Brownies style is. The Brownies integrate Hip Hop, Reggae, Ska, Thrash and Rock in their songs  in an unpredictable manner with very clever deliveries of each genre. Main elements used to depict  events and objects that withstand the test of time were a wind up toy, a handgun, a dance floor and a timepiece. All of these elements also tie into the theme of the lyrics to Old Thing New Things.
Front cover to The Brownies CD Old Things New Things . The character standing on the sub woofer is a Brownies character called The Mon. The cover is an acrylic painting created for the album. The logo is a digital version of an older logo created by Kasper. Below are the lyric pages to the CD booklet.
For the credits, individual CD spines were created for each contributor of Old Things New Things, then photographed. There was the opportunity to use old mediums like CD jewel cases, that are currently in use, but also becoming retro, somewhat like Reggae and Ska music.

Only a true hobbiest would create a turntable with a keyboard to play along. This is a close up of the insert for Hobbiest lyrics, as well as Split Personality.
A weapon discharging was a fitting image for the theme of the track Lies and Manipulation.
