Hitchhiking across the U.S.A. - 2015
In 2015 I skateboarded, hitchhiked, trainhopped, and walked across the United States of America. This is a collection of photos of the people and places I crossed paths with on this journey.
My first leg of the trip was through eastern WA, northern Idaho and Montana, Glacier Natl. Park, Yellowstone, and the The Columbia River basin. In Pocatello, Idaho I met a fellow traveler named Manual Alcazar who was also hitchhiking and we decided to team up for the rest of the adventure. Manny was an air force vet and flew in f-16s during the Gulf War and I learned many valuable lessons from him on the road. From Idaho we traveled Westward - Portland to Seaside, OR. Then down the coast HWY 101 Oregon to San Diego and from there we took a variety of interstates and highways and local roads, across AZ, NM, TX, AR, TN, eventually ending up in Asheville, North Carolina after 4 months on the road.
These were taken with a Pentax k-50 and 18-55 kit lens, plus a 50mm. This is a small batch from roughly 10,000 total photos, which I plan on eventually writing more descriptions and info for the pictures in a book. . I truly wanna thank you for checking them out, and an even bigger thank you to all the strangers out there still picking up hitchhikers! Stay tuned, when I publish a more comprehensive book at some point Ill post it here.

From Asheville we had to get back home before winter set in so we rode a greyhound back from NC to WA, if I ever had to choose again I will always prefer hitchhiking over riding Greyhound haha. Here's a couple extra pics from the trip back...
