Right when I was gearing up to start a new project I got an email from one of my favorite record shops in Seattle. Sonic Boom Records was holding a t-shirt design contest for Record Store Day. I'm thrilled to say mine is the winning design. If you're out and about on April 16th stop by Sonic Boom and pick one of these bad boys up. 

 

This is the text included in my design submission:

I started thinking of the neon rocket that I see every time I walk down Market. I’m sketching out ideas and put Bowie’s Station to Station on the old turntable. As the chorus in the title track begins to echo “it’s too late” I imagine a cosmonaut lost in space with nothing but a portable turntable. I start to think of the tragedy of dropping your favorite album in zero gravity and watching it float away. It’s too late.Fortunately for the cosmonaut the Sonic Boom rocket is in the distance coming in for an emergency rescue.
