Mediating between three major themes of ‘Ostalgie’, Commoning and Adaptable Architecture, the forgotten cinema and its former gasworks site is given new life. Through a process of spontaneous and informal usage by community participation, the site becomes a productive commodity and a catalyst for regeneration through commoning.
