#001 - Sign Up
With the world moving towards 'App Only' existence, almost every franchise, shop or outlet has an app. Also, the omnipresence of Social Media has led to a compulsory integration of Social apps to the regular apps. Sign up form is the real start of the User Experience and has to give the user a great onboarding experience. Considering all these factors, here's a Sign Up page of the 'Foodie' App.
#002 - Credit Card Checkout
The world has shifted to cashless transactions. The payment gateway at the e-commerce website thus has become really crucial. It has become an essential part of the User Experience. This is an alternative to the Credit Card checkout - a way to map the actual world to the digital world.
#003 - Landing Page
'The first Impression is the last Impression'
This saying is true in almost all cases and becomes all more important and critical when it comes to a Landing Page of a UI Designer himself. A landing page should project answers and not raise questions. Here's my attempt to create a Landing Page for my own portfolio.
004 - Calculator
As simple a device calculator is, it's important to make it simplistically attractive. Although a calculator is a machine to help us do mathematical calculations and reduce our mental load, at times the cognitive load increases when the user doesn't remember the sequence of operations/numbers entered. This design of the calculator provides an additional display area for the entered operations/numbers.
005 - App Icon
Humans are more efficient when they remember things by resembling it to something. People remember that a 'blue F' stands for Facebook, a 'G' stands for Google and so on... So, for any application, its Icon becomes its identity and people recognize it wherever they see it. Here's an attempt to design one for Stratus.ai
006 - User Profile Design
User Profile is the information hub for not only the users but also the people who's information page it is. It gives all or some information at a glance. It should also have certain actions, like 'follow' in the case of twitter, right on the page. This can increase the page clicks as well. I have re-designed the Twitter profile page here, considering the points that I talked earlier.
007 - Settings
The control center in iOS introduced a shortcut to turn on/off a few regularly used settings. I thought of designing something similar to a control center but in a more user-friendly manner. I designed an app/hot-spot for iOS that would display all the control center settings in a pop-up manner but arranged in a manner that would follow the rotation of the thumb. Thus, making the settings accessibility much more user-friendly.
008 - 404 Page
Guiding a user even when he/she reaches an error page is an important page in the book of user experience. There are times when the user reaches a page that is not present due to various reasons. Letting the user know that something is wrong and redirecting or providing a message that would redirect him/her to a different page is essential. Also, providing a sense that you really care for the user is a factor I have considered while designing the page by giving a relevant message to the background.
PS: The background photo is clicked by me.
009 - Music Player
In this design challenge, I shifted my focus away from mobile, to an emerging application area of Car Media System. With Apple Car Play being a pioneer in this area, I decided to develop a Music Player for the Apple Car Play. Considering the environment in which it is going to be used, dimensions play an important factor in designing all the elements. Here's my attempt of the Music Player.
