My senior collection was inspired by Marina and the Diamonds, a British singer/songwriter who became an unexpected fashion icon due to her love of unconvential fabrics, loud prints, and eyecatching stage costumes. In particular, Bubblegum Kiss is inspired by her second studio album Electra Heart, which is a satirization of an American girl with a larger than life personality who is dissatisfied with the fact that she lacks one solid, true identity.

 

Each look in Bubblegum Kiss is named after a song from the album Electra Heart.
