OBJECTIVE
Carpet design from a personal inspiration and choice of tissue characteristics.
DESCRIPTION
I've chosen a picture of the seafloor because I like the serenity of the sea lion in the midst of shoal chaos, and I want this tranquility be transmitted to the atmosphere in which the carpet will be placed.
I've made several sketches with shapes, colours (cyan, gray and black) and the movement of the photo to reach a final sketch.
Also, I've decided to do a bath carpet, therefore, must be a light carpet for easy transport, anti-slip to avoid bumps or falls, soft to have a good feel with your feet, it must dry quickly and be resistant because it's a carpet that is always in contact with water. I've decided that it will have dimensions for a bathtub, 100x60 cm, and oval geometry. One feature that I give it is that some of "fish" are hollow.
The focus of my work is to create a product that gives warmth and comfort to the user in a private and intimate space as is the bathroom as well as to create a peaceful atmosphere.
