You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone

Street Art
I was incredibly fortunate to join Amanda Lynn and the people from Pangeaseed in Napier New Zealand in March 2016 for an installment of Seawalls: Murals for Oceans. Amanda and I painted this 30ft x 40ft wall to raise awareness about the Fairy Turn and the Chatham Island Taiko, two endangered sea birds found in the area. I painted a textural background with the phrase 'You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone' and then interwove the text with Amanda's beautiful figures cloaked wings and surrounded by birds.
The aim of Seawalls is to promote general awareness of the issues threatening our oceans today. Be sure to visit Pangeaseed website for more information about what you can do to help with these issues and to see the other murals created for this project.
