Manufactured Perfection
Manufactured Perfection
"A world created by us for our people. It will be created to our precise standards which are perfect."
This is the first large scene with this many objects that I have currently ever modeled and rendered. Originally, this piece was meant to be the slums of a utopia that my friend and I are creating for a story. However, I fell in love with this clean look versus the dirtied look I originally was aiming for. Because of the amount of detail and my skill at the time, the geometry is not as economic as it could be, however the end render is something I'm proud of.

I love the final look of this so much because of the difference from modern society. In life, we see that clean, white environments are associated with the rich elite while dirty, gritty environments are associated with the poor, working classes. So, what if there was a society that still had the social classes of our world but was focused on precise cleanliness? Would the environment influence the people? Or does the elite snobbery go deeper than cleanliness into something more personal? The story possibilities are interesting, and I would love to explore this more.

A quick diffuse render to test the warped effect.
A low quality render of some of the individual buildings.
