It affected areas in every continent and transform peviously biologically productive land into wasteland. There are many varied mechanism behind the process, for example: climate changes, high temperatures, uncotrolled human activites. The most dangerous is inappropriate conducting of agriculture. Soils become damaged through excessive using and deforestation.
The results of deforestation affected about billion living in 60 coutries. It is important, that, the effects are realized not only by these coutries, but also by immediate lands. We are inspired by organism, which we can find on the desert. At the end, there was created a system preventing desertification. It comprised of vertical cores, which can absord water from fog, just like Namib beetle. Secondly water is being filtered by the bacteria and it ends up in a container inside the core. After this process the water can be used as drinking water or to irrigate the agricultural fields and crops. Agriculture strongly supports the presence and use of different types of bacteria: Chroococcidopsis. It is used to add to the fertility of the soil which is extremely vital in
difficult and dry environments, such as desert farming. A net that is attached to the core contains cells that work as a recreational home for the bacteria. During sand storms sand and dust settles down on top of the net and it helps it to expand the scale of the overall layout. In order for this oporation to succeed a different bacteria under the name of Sporosarcina pasteurii is used. It turns the dust into a matter that is a lot more condensed and solid.
