Wakeboard Winch

When you want to go wakeboarding but don't have have a boat, or gas simply costs too much, what do you do?  My solution is to build a wakeboard winch.  No, this is not a new invention, they have been around for a while.  The problem is cost.

Buying a halfway decent winch can cost north of $1500, without breaking a sweat.  This one was built under $500.
The beginning:

Frame layout and fabrication
Fairlead to guide rope
Slotting the motor mount
The rope pulley can hold up to 600 feet of rope
Trying to fit this bad boy in the car was not an easy task!
