TYPOGRAPHY
Typography has always played a huge role when it comes to the designing world.
It is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language legible, readable, and appealing when displayed. The arrangement of type involves selecting typefaces, point size, line length, line-spacing (leading), letter-spacing (tracking), and adjusting the space within letters pairs (kerning).

Artwork 1

I applied a headline from the 'Evening Standard' newspaper from July 21st, 1969.
It is a news about human first footsteps on the Moon.
It is also inspired by the Bauhaus Typography Style.

Artwork 2

The headline above is taken from the 'City Press' newspaper in February 11th, 1990.
I've taken both the letter 'o' in 'goes' and 'e' in 'free' to transform them into a handcuff and a jail gate, showing where Mandela was.
And I've transformed the letter 'y' in 'today' into the South African flag, where Mandela was from.

Artwork 3

The quote above is by an annonymous.
And with the definition of the quote, I've taken theadvantage of the letter 'A' to enhance the meaning of the quote.

Artwork 4

The background for this artwork is taken in a restaurant. Blurred lights, explaining the quote.
Without saying the blurred lights are actually..lights, people will know as the mind have already comprehended for the eye to see.

Artwork 5

The above artwork shows a streak of light.
One question, why curse the darkness when you can light a candle?

The beauty of type lies in its utility; prettiness without readibility serves neither author nor reader.
