Non-electronic City Information Station
Masters of Industrial Design Thesis.

This is a space that citizens can get information about the urban area they are living in, as well as tourists new in the town.

It is designed as a part of the urban furniture for Tehran. The design logic is based on an understanding of social spaces in Iran, which people can socialize and interact to exchange information.

Also design elements are based on Persian motifs to create a modern identity for this design.

In this public space, the focus is on  physical way of presentation (printed graphic - not digital or electronic), even the symbol (the yellow and green sign on top) is working with wind to attract attention.

The goal is to attract people to this social interaction spot to gain the information and interact with each other, meanwhile it is designed in a way to encourage people to stay but not for too long so it does not create a crowded and uncomfortable spot for new pedestrians passing by.

These stations make a network which can act like a landmark to make the city more readable for today's urban life.
