The Heritage Council—Identity/Campaign/UI/UX
The concept for this identity design for the Heritage Council is informed by the core values of the organisation. The Heritage Council is a public body working in the interest of Ireland’s national community, their priorities are to support jobs, education and heritage tourism at a local level. The current focus is on “people and place”, this approach emphasises the benefits of empowering and educating communities to enhance the places they live, work and play, whether it be in a rural or urban environment—this informed the identity and campaign.

The identity reflects Ireland’s unique cultural heritage, the logo reinforces the formality of the organisation as a public body by remaining aesthetically neutral in order to facilitate engagement on a national and international level. The contemporary design approach will appeal to younger generations—which will help encourage future involvement in both the preservation and enjoyment of Irish heritage.

This project was approved by the client and is being refined for roll-out, as the poster campaign for Heritage Week 2016.
