White snow geese peak toward the end of March.
 
Canada Geese will nest on the ground or on a muskrat mound.  The female does much of the nest building with twigs, bark, and grasses and lines them with soft feathers.
Canada geese generally mate for the life and the male will guard the female and the nest during incubation.
