Though many countries have tangible tributes to literature and writers, no other initiative in the world creates a permanent series of site-specific literary exhibits using text from imagined stories that take place in real locations.”
I have been working with the lovely Miranda Hill and Project Bookmark Canada for several years now. I built a website to support a major fundraising event for Project Bookmark in 2012, moving them from a Wordpress blog to more interactive and friendly Squarespace design. As this literary non-profit grew, with two new Bookmarks launching in fall 2015in Nova Scotia and Ontario, it was time for a refresh!
Visual Creative simplified and revamped the "B" logo, redesigned the Bookmark plaques themselves, and launched a beautiful new website — more fresh, more dynamic, and richer detail for each Bookmark. We also designed ads which were placed in the Walrus Magazine in print and online this autumn, and created a newsletter in line with the new design. It's been a great process working with Miranda and the small but mighty Project Bookmark team, and exciting to see what comes next!
