Born in March, 1976, Manning played in the NFL for 18 years. The Indianapolis Colts drafted him right out of college in 1998. Despite having a tough first season, Manning quickly established himself as a consistently talented player. He earned his first MVP award with the team in 2003 and his second the following year. In 2008, Manning finally won his first Super Bowl against the Chicago Bears, along with his third MVP award for the game. Over the course of his career, Manning won a total of five MVP awards, making him the first player in NFL history to do so.

Although Manning’s career was largely unmarred by injury, his repeated neck surgeries in 2011 kept him off the field and led to his move from the Colts to the Denver Broncos. He signed with the Broncos in 2012 and quickly returned to a high level of performance. During his first season with the team, he led the Broncos to the AFC West title, and in the following season, he broke touchdown and passing yard records. Manning again suffered an injury in 2014, but he managed yet another comeback the following year and he led the Broncos to a victory in Super Bowl 50 before retiring in 2016.
