Coherence M

Coherence is:
The process by which consciousness connects the performances and the way it remembrances them from the memory. It is the logical association between certain performances, (memories) transferred from the past to present, sometimes without the will of the person's itself, creating thus a living experience.

Morse code:
A process in which information is transmitted by means of short and long pulses. "Expressed" by dot and dash.

The coherence M is a personal, experimental approach having as main principle the letter M. The book, designed in Morse code (dot – dash), is trying to create a dialogue and a form of "communication" between the words and compositions. Resulting to 24 different words (written in Greek) that begin with the letter M (morse symbol: --) I was led to codify them in Morse code to deconstruct the element of dot and dash and face them as forms. Taking advantage of the element of the dot and dash, I created compositions having started from the conceptual meaning of words and how they can be rendered visually by these two elements. Each spread consists of two compositions in which there are "hidden" words (only at one point). For the successfully perusal of them, the involvement and interaction of receiver/reader is required. Each word has a character, a meaning. Any matter causes an emotional state which ultimately results in a story. Through interaction the reader follows a specific path resulting in a personal association.

The possession of this book contains the uniqueness of the first interaction & exploration.
