I chose the YCN Student Award brief which asked me tocreate a promotional campaign for Fedrigoni Paper's new "ImaginativeColours" paper selection tool, because I felt a real connection with thetactile medium which is paper. Many people think all the fun happens with webdesign and I wanted to prove otherwise.

The concept which I applied to my campaign ran along the lines of ‘Taking itback to the roots’. I was keen to enable people to a new way of thinking aboutpaper. It’s far too easy to screw a sheet into a ball when designs go wrong,but do people really consider the origins of paper when using the medium? My campaign consisted of three elements; substantially sized printadvertisements, direct mail keepsake cards and a short animation to be viewedacross the internet.

My concept, aptly named, 'Taking it back to the roots' encouraged users to consider the origins of paper, in addition to the exceptional colour that as designers we could be equipt with.
