    Year 1963. Wrocław, Centennial Hall. National polish basketball team is playing against the CCCP squad in the Eurobasket finals. They're battlling whole game but come up short against powerful russian team. Although this fact becomes the biggest success of polish basketball. After 50 years exactly the comeback of the most successful franchise in polish league - Śląsk Wrocław, which was ousted from the league 4 years earlier - gave an excellent opportunity to honor that historical event by arranging a tournament. We were asked to design the brand for this special event. The main task was to merge the historical 1963 EuroBasket logo with a new one. The left side depicts the Centennial Hall and a spire monument that is located closely to the hall. The top of the spire was a perfect place to locate ball stripes and to show the strong connection between the building and basketball. The left side was meant to be used cyclically through next editions while the right side was designed as a one-time element. Read Less
