"Confined" was the second project from my problem solving class (a class where we use unconventional materials to create looks that were based off of our inspirations). For this project each us were confined to a shift dress and we could only build our design into the space aloud.
For this project I was inspired by the Gaboon Viper and its environment. The Gaboon Viper is a snake that is located in Central African Rainforests. This snake has a very unique scale and skin pattern.

Close up front section: each scale hand-made and individually cut out. The scales range from small to large in size. Around the scale are a detailed cut paper that I found in shipping boxes. I used them to represent the environment that the snake lives in.
