Little White Lies: Illustration Brief
This assignment was to pick a brief from D&AD and officially submit your work to be judged for the competition I chose the Little White Lies Magazine brief which was to create an illustration depicting the main character of one of their five favourite films of 2011. The films were Drive, Black Swan, The Tree of Life, Super 8 and Tinker,Tailor,Soldier,Spy.
The illustration focuses on one of the major scenes in the film where the white swan's personality is finally overtaken by her counterpart, the black swan. The mirror shattering/cracking effect is symbolic of how the white swan finally metamorphosizes into the black swan.
