Siraj show - Pitch

SIRAJ is an educational kids show that presents one letter of the Arabic alphabet in each of its episodes.
This project contains all the work that has been done for an internal pitch or a client's presentation.
The final series is to be launched in many months from now and it looks quite different from what you are about to see.

'Al Yaraqa Yara'  and 'Dino' animations are samples showing how we envisioned the linguistic exercises in each of the episodes.
They are animated by Mohamed Magdy ( m.magdy@lammtarastudio.com )
and Rachel Mouawad http://rachelmouawad.com/ respectively.

NOORA and RASHID

Designs of the main characters: the girl, her little brother and the grandma who works at the public library.
She encourages the littles ones to go on a magical journey to the world of the alphabet!

Siraj is not only a TV show, it is an educational ipad game and a set of children books.
Here are two book covers created after each of the animations above.

ALEF

Alef was created to pitch my idea to the director M. S. Harib at Lammtara.
Alef is the first letter of the Arabic alphabet; it takes different forms depending of its place in a word.
It could look like a straight line  ا or with a belly ى.
To introduce the kids to these variations, I had the idea of telling the story of an alef that ate a lot of candy and got a big belly.
Animation by Rachel Mouawad http://rachelmouawad.com/
