This was a fun project that I was inspired to do one day while computer gaming and drinking an unhealthy amount of caffeinated beverage.

Layout of the basic shapes for the various atoms and wires.
Created unique atomic shapes (oxygen, carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen) and cleaned up the wire lines.
Added a glow effect to make the "atoms" seem like they were energized. Each atom type received a different color.
Final piece. Cleaned up the wires more and changed their color to grey, also enhanced the glow effect.
