The purpose of this project was to design a better area for people to wash their hands efficiently and hygienically in public washrooms.
There has always been a great concern over the hygiene of public washrooms, many people have refrained from using public washroom faucets as they believe they are much
cleaner than the handles and faucets that have been in contact with hundreds of people. In public washrooms we actually encounter millions of bacterias that arent visible to the naked eye, thus proper hand washing is important for us to keep clean and free of germs.

PURITY is an effortless hands-free faucet aimed at teaching personal hygiene and simplifying the process of washing hands in the public washroom. It uses sustainable water efficient technology to focus on all parts of the hand reducing the spread of bacteria.
95% of the population says they wash their hands but when 8000 people were monitored across five large cities in the US, they found the actual number to be more like 67%
