The Rock Church: The Media And Music Staff

The Rock Church has been an established church in Zachary, Louisiana for 20 years. The Rock Church is well known for its hospitality to visitors/members, service to the community, and dedication to its core beliefs. There is much preperation that goes into preparing for services and events the church holds. The media and music staff are to thank for the presentation of each service.
Staff memebers meet Monday through Thursday to create media presentations, anouncements, and music sets for each service. Jamie Fountain (left),  Ian Carney (right), and Kassidy Bezet (middle) prepare to create this week's Sunday morning announcement.
Ian Carney is the media director of The Rock Church. Carney is responsible for overseeing the production of media products, creating announcements for events, and setting up the media technology.
Jamie Fountain is the worship pastor of the church. Fountain has been active in this field for over 10 years. He is the piano player and the track manager of the church. Fountain makes himself available to help the band members to stay on track with the music. Fountain always plans his sets his song lists early in advance and writes his notes on a sticky note.
Julia, media assistant, is a helpful asset to the media staff. She creates service presentations with Carney during the work weeks.
Before service starts, Carney always checks the sound board to ensure balance in the church's sound mix.
Fountain goes through his computer to set the song tracks and metronome to keep the band members in sync. He does this before every service and creates new files every week for the services.
The memebers of the church begin to enter as they see The Rock Church worship team ready for action. Worship team members have a 5 minute countdown to let them know to make their way to the stage.
As soon as the worship team begins, service has started. The worship team usually plays for 20-25 minutes per service. The team meets up every Thursday night to practice the songs for each service. They do this in order for a unified and proffesional sound .
After worship is done, Pastor Rocky Bezet begins to preach and the media team is ready to broadcast. The Rock Church offers the opportunity to volunteer in the media department. Carney always helps out new volunteers and sees to it that they feel comfortable in the position. Gary Kimble (above) has volunteered as camera man for the church for a year.
Foutain And Carney always discuss the ways they can improve for future services. This helps them to plan out their work weeks and to become even more innovative with the presentations at the church.
As the service ends, the media team calls it a day.
