Jeremy Burke | "Jemery" | 1985

Jeremy Burke is an American folk musician from New York City. Even though he has a small discography of three albums, he has collaborated with many of his colleague's albums he met at music school. "Jemery" is his first and most well-known album.

When Jeremy was on tour, he discussed his influences for a local radio station at Wilmington, NC. "I bought Nick Drake's "Pink Moon" because it was the ugliest cover I've seen at the store, but I was impressed. I realized you don't need much to make beautiful music, just a guitar and maybe a voice."

Many years later, Jeremy decided to reveal the story behind the album's name typo: "My friend from middle school was my partner on some assigments. He was quite dyslexic and he always wrote my name as "Jemery." I made fun of this all the time, so when I got into music school, I promised him my first album would be called "Jemery"

Jeremy passed away in 2008 due to a heart attack.

FPP | "We Really Like Dinosaurs" | 2005

FPP (Fuckers Playing Punk) is a punk rock band formed in Toronto in 2004. The band has only produced one album because of a disagreement between the drummer Jamie Beek and the lead guitarist Payton Fitz. "Each rehearsal things got worse with those two. When I realized we were arguing more than playing, I decided to quit," said the bassist Fred Scott.

Despite their short career, FPP managed to be relevant at the local punk scenario, being the occasional opening act for the bands Cancer Bats and Fucked Up.

"We Really Like Dinosaurs" prowess is that it was recorded at Jamie's basement and garage and sounded surprisingly good. "The drums sounded better at the garage for some reason, so we had to record each song three times: one with everyone to be our base at mixing, other at the basement for the guitar and the bass, and the last one for the drums at the garage."

After the band break up, Payton went back to law school and Jamie and Fred play with a wedding band to pay the bills while working on personal projects together.

Sila | "Sila" | 2013

Sila is a british downtempo duo consisting of Daryl Gibb and Jake Freeman. Their music style mixes elements of jazz, bossa nova and heavily edited nature sounds.

Daryl and Jake met in Japan at a Uyama Hiroto show. "We were the only non-japanese there, of course we became friends that day" said Jake jokingly at the autograph session of their first album "Sila."

The name Sila comes from the inuit culture. "The main idea of Sila is the balance of men with nature, and we tried to bring that to our music when we used nature sounds, like birds and the wind. But we didn't like to use their pure sounds, so we decided to experiment with them" said Daryl.

The duo is now on a world tour and has stated that the production of their next album will begin next year.

MugenKai | "The Flower Vagabond" | 2016

MugenKai is the stage name of Kaito Kurosawa, a rapper from Tokyo, Japan. His trademark is a white mask covering his eyes and hair completely, resembling an "eyeless" luchador mask.

MugenKai became famous on the underground scene thanks to his multiple collaborations on live shows and on studio recordings. "Most of my collaborations and friends happened in MySpace, when we were young and had the time to cross the city just to make a beat into some guy's tiny bedroom."

Although he was classic trained in piano until he was 12, Kaito rarely plays it in his compositions, he prefers to search samples and use them for his rapping. However, on some live shows of his peers, it is possible to see him playing the synthesizer, and between songs he plays Bach to impress the audience.

"The Flower Vagabond" is the return of Kaito after a long hiatus which many fans speculated he was actually retiring when he announced it. The name of the album is based on a verse of the song "Feather" by Nujabes.

Kaito next plan is to perform outside of Japan. "Some great artists from California helped on my latest album. Maybe in the future we will meet again in a different land."

"Mephisto" is Cool Lilith's first original album recorded on a studio and released properly, the two previous EPs were cover albums and made as a hobby. "My brother works as sound designer on a production company for advertisement. The only reason "Mephisto" sounds decent is because of him," said Ana.

Cool Lilith has produced 4 more albums after "Mephisto," and is currently working on an acoustic album inspired by the work of Rodrigo Y Gabriela while presenting on a few cities in South America.
