What is OAKREATION?
Feeling familiar only to a small number of humans, a sense of reverence for nature, its strength and hidden events. The root word is related to the oak tree. the most adorned plant, not only by Slavs.
Oakreation is a mongrel, a picture book made "upside down". First I have done all the illustrations (drawings, the accompanying photos), and then while watching each individual wrote its unique story. Almost that it was not the writing process, but the archetypal divination deck of cards, representing fairy and natural world. All the creatures are evoked ... Summoned into existence.

If you ever get a chance to do something on Your own, for Your own amusement and fulfillment, ask yourself what would you create? In 2005. the first open competition in the field of culture and arts programs "Open Highway E-761" emerged. Friends have convinced me that this is an opportunity not to be missed. The backbone of the programe was the idea that each project must be linked to the hometown, in my case - Uzice. Since I am a follower of the long tradition of fiction (art, literature, life), not realism (social realism or any humane activism), I was looking for a specific grain around which I could wrap the pearl. A bean that is, it turns out, have sprouted in the heart of Uzice. It was a veritable swamp, covered with rushes and water lilies, grown in the center of the spot where the post office was razed in 1999. Only six years of human inaction, and the raw force of nature has occurred rapidly. This book had already started getting its spine. In contrast to "in a land far far away", this book takes place here and now, and it exposes the animal and fairy creatures who inhabit a city. And all of them connected through the Green Man, which celebrates the emanation of all the ancient pagan beliefs, this time awakened in the famous swamp in the heart of Uzice.
