Surface Design_Memories at the Table
Memories at the table

Final project for the BA Fashion Design with focus on surface design (textile, ceramics and paper).

For this project, I revisited my family history around the kitchen ambiance. Thought recipes books, old pictures, tableware and memorabilia, I created a whole visual universe inspired by my grandmother’s afternoon tea moments I had while growing up.

The tea as visual resource represents the feminine figures on our family within their passing away on recent events. The watercolor used on this project impress the fugacity but wet intense colors of the subject in matter, along with flowers and textures extracted from the tea flower itself and the kitchen objects.

This collection of memories pieces end up on developing a collection of delicate patterns applied at kitchen services objects such as ceramics and tableware.
