Shopping Mall Interior (concept)

Interior concept of the shopping mall reception

Target: to design interior for 6-storey shopping mall, specializing in furniture.

Design concept: the first stage of project was dedicated to designing the dominant of the project, inspired by exposition of Zaha Hadid’s works, held in the Hermitage (Saint-Petersburg) in summer 2015. After considerably long research of both Zaha Hadid’s works and those by other architects-partisans of deconstructivism, I designed this fountain, which, from my point of view does not too much resemble the origins, as Iintended to achieve a sence of stylistic individuality in it. Its deeper concept is based in signifying the time flow.
In regards to interior, my objective was to logically connect sudden geometric formations with the original orthogonal construction of building, although it was not an easy task. This conflict does create exciting contrast without destroying initial architecture of building.
All-storage repeatable gap is equipped with “bridges” of irregular form, having mostly decorative and lightging function, except the last floor, where it is also possible to use it to commute from one side to another.
The first floor of the building has specific layout of floor with the main body exceeding the bounds of interior, to appear outside.
