The Art of the GRIMM Books

The first spread I ever created for Grimm was on the Pilot episode. I was working as a prop assistant, and the prop master asked me if I could draw a Hexenbiest for a little book prop. Little did I know they had been auditioning other artists for the piece. The advised me that they didn't want the piece to feel like a refined art piece but rather the hasty sketch of one journaling what he witnessed. The producer's loved my take on it and thus began my career as the graphic designer on Grimm.
